Ethereum Fusaka Upgrade Launches on Sepolia Testnet: Hoodi Test Scheduled for October 28

Ethereum developers have successfully deployed the second test of the upcoming Fusaka upgrade on the Sepolia network, advancing toward mainnet implementation. This follows the earlier Holesky testnet deployment two weeks prior. The final rehearsal is scheduled for the Hoodi testnet on October 28, after which the mainnet activation date will be determined. Arriving shortly after Ethereum's Pectra upgrade, Fusaka aims to reduce institutional costs on the network. Its key innovation, PeerDAS, enables validators to verify partial data segments instead of complete "blobs," significantly lowering bandwidth requirements and operational costs for both layer-2 networks and validators. Sepolia and other testnets provide critical testing environments for Ethereum upgrades under real-world conditions before mainnet deployment. While Holesky shows signs of aging and faces impending deprecation, its replacement Hoodi - launched earlier this year - offers closer mainnet simulation. The upcoming Hoodi test will provide the most accurate performance preview for Fusaka's mainnet launch.
