DoubleZero Mainnet Launch Attracts 22% of Staked SOL for Blockchain Speed Boost

The DoubleZero Foundation has launched its highly anticipated mainnet-beta, introducing a specialized "fast lane" network for blockchain communication. This innovative infrastructure provides Solana validators with dedicated fiber routes instead of relying on unpredictable public internet, significantly reducing latency and improving transaction processing speeds.
DoubleZero functions as a private highway system specifically designed for blockchain coordination needs. While conventional internet prioritizes broad accessibility, DoubleZero optimizes for the split-second synchronization required by thousands of blockchain nodes. This enhanced communication layer directly impacts network security, validator profitability, and end-user experience according to co-founder Austin Federa.
Notable industry adoption includes 22% of staked SOL already integrated with the network. Major players like Jump Crypto, Galaxy Digital, and RockawayX are contributing resources, betting on improved blockchain infrastructure scalability. The project recently secured $28 million funding at a $400 million valuation led by Dragonfly and Multicoin Capital.
DoubleZero's native 2Z token, built on Solana, fuels network access with validator rewards tied to utility provision. The project received regulatory clearance through an SEC no-action letter preceding launch. While initially Solana-focused, DoubleZero's roadmap includes expansion to multiple blockchains and distributed systems.
