DCG's Yuma Hires TradeBlock Founders to Boost Bittensor AI Growth with TAO Token
07.10.2025 16:51
Yuma, the decentralized AI subsidiary of Digital Currency Group (DCG), has appointed crypto industry veterans Greg Schvey and Jeff Schvey as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer respectively. This strategic hiring accelerates Yuma's expansion across the Bittensor ecosystem, including validator operations, mining activities, and subnet development, while preparing to launch a new asset management division.
The Schvey brothers bring extensive institutional expertise from founding TradeBlock (acquired by DCG) and Axoni, whose core business was acquired by London Stock Exchange Group. Their appointment signals Yuma's commitment to strengthening Bittensor infrastructure and increasing institutional adoption of decentralized AI.
Yuma has rapidly become a major Bittensor contributor since its 2024 launch, onboarding eight institutional validators including BitGo and Crypto.com, while supporting eight subnet launches. This growth reinforces Bittensor's position in the decentralized AI sector and highlights increasing institutional interest in the TAO ecosystem.
