KAIO, a leading tokenization platform backed by financial giants Brevan Howard and Nomura's Laser Digital, is expanding its tokenized fund offerings to the high-speed Sei Network (SEI) as demand for real-world asset (RWA) tokenization accelerates across crypto markets.
The company, previously operating as Libre Capital, has successfully tokenized over $200 million in assets including feeder funds from major institutions like Brevan Howard, Hamilton Lane, Laser Digital, and BlackRock. These tokenized funds are exclusively available to institutional and accredited investors, featuring seamless on-chain subscription, redemption, and reporting capabilities.
Sei Network's infrastructure, specifically engineered for high-frequency financial applications, provides the technical foundation for KAIO's expansion. This move follows recent RWA developments on Sei, including ARK-backed Securitize's introduction of a $112 million Apollo tokenized credit fund.
The announcement underscores the rapidly growing RWA tokenization trend, where traditional financial instruments including bonds, credit facilities, and investment funds are converted into digital tokens. This transformation enables near-instant settlements, 24/7 trading availability, and integration with smart contracts and DeFi protocols. Industry analysts project the total addressable market for tokenized RWAs could reach trillions of dollars.
KAIO's initial integration with Sei will feature tokens representing shares in the BlackRock ICS US Dollar Liquidity Fund and Brevan Howard Master Fund. These tokens can be utilized within DeFi ecosystems as collateral, liquidity reserves, or yield-generating assets, significantly enhancing flexibility for institutional capital movement on blockchain networks.
"KAIO's expansion represents a crucial milestone in Sei's mission to establish itself as the premier institutional settlement layer for digital assets," stated Justin Barlow, Executive Director of the Sei Development Foundation.
Olivier Dang, KAIO's COO, emphasized that "Leveraging Sei Network enables fully on-chain composable access to premier fund strategies, establishing the foundation for real-time, programmable financial infrastructure designed for capital markets' next evolution."
