BlackRock CEO Larry Fink Expands Tokenization Strategy for TradFi On-Chain Adoption

Asset management leader BlackRock (BLK), overseeing $13.4 trillion in assets, is accelerating initiatives to transition traditional finance (TradiFi) onto blockchain networks. CEO Larry Fink confirmed during Q3 earnings that firm-wide teams are developing tokenization solutions to enhance market efficiency and accessibility. Fink anticipates "significant growth" for digital assets beyond the current $4.5 trillion market valuation and teased major tokenization announcements within coming years. BlackRock maintains dominance with its spot Bitcoin ETF (IBIT) and Ethereum ETF holdings totaling $110 billion AUM, plus the $2.8B BUIDL tokenized fund on Ethereum, Solana and Avalanche networks. The firm's digital asset revenue reached $61 million last quarter while BLK shares gained 1.5% following earnings.
