ARK Invest Acquires $162M Stake in Solana Treasury Firm Solmate (Formerly Brera Holdings)

ARK Invest has made a significant move into the digital asset treasury space with a $162 million investment in Brera Holdings, now rebranded as Solmate. The Nasdaq-listed company, previously a sports club owner, is transforming into a Solana-based digital asset treasury after securing $300 million from UAE's Pulsar Group. Cathie Wood's investment firm acquired 6.5 million shares across three ETFs: ARKK, ARKW, and ARKF. Following the announcement, BREA shares surged from $7.40 to a high of $52.95 before settling at $24.90, marking a 225% daily gain. Meanwhile, SOL reached January highs this week, surpassing $250 before trading around $244 with a 20% monthly increase.
